Because a limited number of applications can be submitted for the following program(s), an internal screening process may be required.  If you are considering submitting an application for any of the listed program(s), an online Notification of Intent to Submit (http://www.osp.uconn.edu/limited_sub_intent.php) must be completed by the requested deadline. 

We will notify those who submitted “Intents to Submit” if a full competition is determined to be necessary.

Guidelines for the internal screening process can be found at http://www.osp.uconn.edu/guidelines.php.  Please note that when submitting pre-proposals for the internal screening process, be sure to check the guidelines for updates.  Pre-proposals not adhering to these guidelines will be returned.

Doris Duke Clinical Scientist Development Award

The Doris Duke Clinical Scientist Development Award provides grants to junior physician-scientists to facilitate their transition to independent clinical research careers.  The foundation plans to award u to 14 three-year grants in 2010 of $125,000 per year in direct costs and $10,000 per year in indirect costs to junior faculty level physician-scientists conducting clinical research in any disease area.

Limit:  Two nominations

Internal Screening Deadline: October 23, 2009
