Records Retention Policy

For all other financial records, the University of Connecticut has imposed a moratorium on the destruction of all financial records associated with federally supported projects until 2011. Please contact Betsy Pittman at (860) 486-4507 if you have any questions.

After 2011, if the current moratorium is lifted, a new notice will be distributed.

The University follows the Records Retention Schedules set for all state agencies. As per Disposition Schedule S3, item 080, (S3-080) "detailed grant records and reports" must be retained for "3 years or until audited, whichever comes later."
