Minimum Requirements for Preaward Services to Begin Proposal Review

The following should be submitted 5 business days prior to sponsor deadline:

1. Completed Internal Proposal Review Form
2. Completed Significant Financial Interest Review Form(s) for all key personnel
3. Proposal Guidelines from the Sponsoring Agency
4. Completed Proposal Cover Sheet
5. Preliminary Budget and Budget Justification
6. Cost Sharing Details and Approvals
7. Draft Proposal Narrative
8. Approved Budget and Signed Institutional Letter of Intent for all subcontractors

To have your budget reviewed prior to submission of the items listed above, please forward your budget, justification and program guidelines to preaward@uconn.edu.

If the proposed research involves the use of human subjects, animal subjects, embryonic stem cells, recombinant DNA, or biohazards, the Office of Research Compliance (ORC) can assist you in obtaining appropriate review and approval.
