Grants.gov General Instructions at UConn
Early Submission of Proposals is Highly Recommended
Grants.gov is a new system and you may encounter errors and problems with your first attempt using Grants.gov. Completion of the application package will also require additional effort as you navigate the PureEdge software. By submitting your Grants.gov application early, OSP will be able to help identify problems that can be corrected to allow submission and acceptance of the proposal by Grants.gov. As such, OSP highly recommends that every effort is made to submit your application to our office no less than 5 business days prior to the agency deadline.
Registration
The University of Connecticut is already registered with Grants.gov. Investigators and departmental personnel need not register.
Download the Application Viewer
Funding programs eligible for electronic submission via Grants.gov will have an application package available for download. To view the application you will need to download the PureEdge Viewer software.
PureEdge is only available on Microsoft Windows, however, Grants.gov has provided a means for non-Windows (i.e. UNIX, GNU/Linux, Macintosh) users to access the PureEdge application.
PureEdge Support for Windows Users: To operate PureEdge Viewer, your computer must meet certain system requirements. Verify your computer meets the necessary system requirements. Follow the instructions for downloading and installing the PureEdge Viewer and/or PureEdge Viewer Upgrade software.
PureEdge Support for Macintosh OS X Users: To operate PureEdge Viewer, your computer must meet certain system requirements. Follow our customized instructions for downloading and installing the PureEdge Viewer.
PurEdge Support for Non Windows Users: For non-Windows users, a free Citrix server is available to remotely launch a Windows session and submit completed grant applications. OSP has developed a set of customized instructions to aid non-windows users in using the Citrix Client to connect to the Grants.gov servers.
