The Effort Reporting Advisory Group consists of nine members: Michelle Flagge, Judy Jansen, Lori Mather, Debra Mielczrek, Marilyn Moir, Joyce Niejako, Doreen Posage, Alicia Ross, and Dan Stolzenberg. We had our first meeting on March 31, 2007 and discussed the following topics:

• Put sub codes on the reports which will be on the spring reports.
• Put dates back into the report headings which will be on the spring reports.
• Pay period end dates for the spring reports.
• Doreen gave a brief explanation of how she gets the data and the steps she goes through to get the percent of effort.
• We discussed late summer payments and that there is not a way for Doreen to indentify and it was agreed that the department administrators would know that it is a summer payment. The department administrators will update the effort reports.
• Another topic discussed was how to handle the processing of late journal entries. One member suggested that an e-mail be sent to OSP explaining that they are waiting for the journal entry to be processed and that the effort report will be late. This suggestion needs the approval from OSP.

These are the payrolls that are used to compute the spring semester compensation for fiscal year 2008. Academic salary is paid throughout the year and six months of salary is in the spring semester.
